City Officials

Chisago City has a mayor-council form of government.  The city council consists of a mayor and four council members, who are elected at large.  The mayor and the council members serve four-year terms.   

A city administrator is responsible for the administration of policies and carrying out of city council directives.  Our Planning Commission advises the City Council on planning and zoning issues and our Park Board makes recommendations to the Council on park related items.The Economic Development Authority (EDA) was created to establish a strong economic environment for the City to support existing businesses and encourage the establishment of new businesses. The EDA recommends policies supportive of economic growth to the council.
