 Do you offer recreational opportunities for adults?

The Community Education Department of the Chisago Lakes School District offers a variety of recreational programs for all ages.  They include sports leagues, playground programs, open gym, sport camps, lessons, and dozens of other activities.  Camps and clinics include wresting, tennis volleyball, gymnastics, soccer, and basketball.  Call the Community Education office at 651-213-2600 for a complete listing and details on all activities. 

Chisago County offers seniors an opportunity to socialize with others while having a great time! The Senior Center is located in the Chisago County Community Center, 6th & Maple, in North Branch. Call them at 651-674-8658 to be placed on a mailing list to receive their monthly newsletter which is packed full of events for seniors to attend. Some of the fun events include ice cream socials, bingo, exercise, cards, concerts, dance, and karate!! There is even a dining site located in Lindstrom.  How do I rent your park facilities?

 Where is an outdoor ice rink located & what are the hours?

Chuckie Lundquist Park features an outdoor pleasure rink, hockey rink, and a warming house where skaters can escape from the cold. Check the park's webpage for information on hours and rental.

 When do your outdoor ice rinks open?

 Rinks usually open mid to late December if weather is favorable.  The city will announce the opening on our website via our latest news webpage.

 Do you have a baseball field available to the public?

There is only one public baseball field located within city limits in Surfland Park.  The field is available first-come, first serve.

 Do you have basketball courts at any of your parks?

Chisago City does not have public basketball courts.

 What are your park use regulations?

For the safety and welfare of our park users, please follow these regulations when using our parks:
  • Parks close at 10 PM and reopen at 6 AM, except for activities specifically approved by the city.
  • Alcohol is allowed by permit only.
  • No motorized vehicles including snowmobiles, motorbikes, or all-terrain vehicles are allowed.
  • Dogs are not permitted to run at large.  They must be on a leash and under the owner's control at all times.  Owners must pick up and dispose of dog excrement in waste receptacles.
  • Littering, posting handbills, golfing, and defacing property is strictly prohibited.

 Where is Chisago City's designated sledding hill?

Paradise Park has been officially designated as "Chisago City's Sledding Hill."  Hours of operation are daily from 8 AM to 10 PM.  The park features benches and lights for the convenience of sledding enthusiasts.  Snowmobiling is STRICTLY PROHIBITED in all City parks.  Snowmobilers who wish to access the lake may do so at the DNR boat landing or Lake Avenue.
