Farmers Market Nutrition Program (S/FMNP) Authorized Market

The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and the Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) are federal programs administered by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (together known as FMNP). These programs seek to:

  • Provide fresh, unprepared, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs to Women, Infants & Children (WIC) participants and low-income seniors, and
  • Expand the awareness, use of, and sales at farmers' markets.

What can I buy?

With your FMNP coupons, you can buy fresh, locally grown, fruits, vegetables, and herbs. Minnesota farmers grow a large variety of fresh produce that they sell at local farmers' markets.

  • NOTE: You will not receive change from your S/FMNP coupons, so be sure to make the most of each purchase. Both farmers and market managers are happy to help you learn about new fruits and vegetables that you might want to try.
