Moberg Park is home to our annual Ki-Chi-Saga Days festival, our holiday lighting festival, our Patriots Remembrance Day 9/11, and our All Veteran's Memorial! Moberg Park features the statue of Vilhelm Moberg for which it was named. Moberg, a Swedish author and historian, traveled the Chisago area in 1948 on bicycle. In 1996, Ian Dudley sculpted the statue commemorating Moberg's travels here which were visited by the King and Queen of Sweden that same year. The park also includes a caboose exhibit and play area. The caboose was purchased in January 1975 by the Chisago City Booster Club as an attraction to bring people to “Central Park” -- now known as Moberg Park. Moberg Park amenities include on-site parking, a pavilion, picnic tables, electricity, drinking fountain, restrooms, and open space.
